Artista visual e pesquisadora, atua na Arte Contemporânea em segmentos práticos e teóricos. Doutora em Artes Visuais com ênfase em Poéticas Visuais pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas e Mestre em Comunicação e Semiótica na área de Artes pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo.
Direciona a pesquisa para o processo de criação como ato comunicativo cujo foco se encontra na reflexão e desenvolvimento das poéticas visuais. Produz nas Artes Visuais com ênfase na fotografia enfocando as relações corpo e imagem. Tem experiência nas Artes Visuais em Pintura, Desenho, Livro-objeto e Instalação. Atualmente, opera na fotografia e vídeoarte com enfoque nas relações corpo, imagem e desenho. Participa de diversas exposições nacionais e internacionais. Possui obras nos seguintes acervos públicos: Museu de Arte de Ribeirão Preto, Museu Nacional de Belas Artes no Rio de Janeiro, Museu de Arte de Brasília, State Museum Majdanek em Lublin na Polônia, Siena Art Institute (Itália), Atelier Presse Papier em Quebec (Canadá) e, em Coleções particulares no Brasil e no Exterior.
Visual artist and researcher, he works in Contemporary Art in practical and theoretical segments. PhD in Visual Arts with emphasis in Visual Poetics from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp) and Master in Communication and Semiotics in the Arts area from the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUCSP).
It directs the research to the process of creation as a communicative act whose focus is in the reflection and development of visual poetics. Produces in Visual Arts with an emphasis on photography focusing the body and the image. Has experience in the Visual Arts in Painting, Drawing, Book object, and Installation. He currently works in photography and video art with a focus on body, image and design. Participates in several national and international exhibitions. It has works in the following public collections: Museum of Art of Ribeirão Preto, National Museum of Fine Arts in Rio de Janeiro, Museum of Art of Brasilia, State Museum Majdanek in Lublin in Poland, Siena Art Institute (Italy), Atelier Presse Papier in Quebec (Canada), and in Private Collections in Brazil and Abroad.
Statement
O meu trabalho está elaborado em torno a diversas linguagens: fotografia, vídeoarte, desenho e objeto. Na fotografia e na vídeoarte foco minha pesquisa na autorrepresentação. Tenho interesse em estabelecer um diálogo com o autorretrato clássico portanto, a captura acontece enquanto o espectro da silhueta está projetado no espelho, sintetizando dois pontos que considero importantes na minha poética: investigar a estrutura da luz reflexa e a presença do corpo como objeto. Capturo o corpo desmaterializado.
Me interesso pela possibilidade de corpo matéria e corpo virtual coexistirem. Para isso, crio um personagem, preparo um cenário e busco o melhor posicionamento, do espelho, do corpo e da câmera. A partir dos trajes que visto, da luz e da velocidade da captura, procuro estabelecer relações tonais com o espaço privilegiando o fenômeno estético.
No desenho investigo a possibilidade de gerar certos transbordamentos entre as linguagens visuais, experienciando assim, uma diluição entre os limites. Nos objetos me interessa observar a alteração de seus padrões gerando novas ressignificações. Toda a minha produção poética tem meu corpo como protagonista, com e sobre ele recaem as ações.
My work is built around the various languages: photography, video art, design and object. In photography and video art focus my research on self-representation. I'm interested in a dialogue with the classic self-representation therefore the capture happens when the silhouette spectrum is designed in the mirror, synthesizing two points that I consider important in my poetry: to investigate the structure of the reflected light and the presence of the body as an object. I capture the body dematerialized.
I'm interested by the possibility of body matter and virtual body coexist. For this, I create a character, I prepare a scenario and look for the best positioning of the mirror, the body and the camera. From the costumes I wear, the light and the speed of capture, I try to establish tonal relationships with space privileging the aesthetic phenomenon.
In the drawing I investigate the possibility of generate some overflows between the visual languages, thereby experiencing a dilution between its limits. In the objects care observe when reverse the paradigms generating new reinterpretation. All my poetic production has my body as the protagonist, with and about him fall actions.
